Hey, hey PatBoyX, hey, listen to me sucker! Think you are the man because you came out hard hitting with a Coke with Lime review? Eh? Think you are a tough guy? Yeah, I bet you do, well guess what?
You are.
Damnit.
You beat me to the soda and lime review and here I am playing catch up. I'd post a link to your review but the powers at large wiped it off the internet. Sandess. Instead I will post a link to Marvo and his review over at the Impulsive Buy.
So here I am, behind two internet powerhouses talking about cola with lime. I guess I have to make my mark on the world and review my own soda with lime. Not to be completely outdone by those two men I have decided to get a whole different cola with the same fruit in it and talk about it here. How exciting
Pepsi used to be known for doing their own crazy things, breaking the trend and trying out new products. Unfortunatly for them those products constantly failed just about every single time. Pepsi Kona (which I have actually tried, my area was one of only a handful of places in the country they tested it out in), Crystal Pepsi, and Pepsi Blue just to name a few. Lately they seem to have given up on their creative streak and decided to follow behind the market leader Coke. Pepsi with Lemon (Pepsi Twist), Pepsi with vanilla, that Pepsi Edge stuff (low calorie thing like Coke C2) and now Pepsi with Lime. Not much fun. Oh, they did have Pepsi Holiday Spice, I'll give them credit for that one.
But how is Pepsi with Lime? Generic I guess. Tastes exactly like you would think it would taste. Pepsi with Lime. It's not bad, actually. But it's not special. It's a lot better then The new Sprite Remix, I'd say its about on level with the Dr. Pepper. I'd say it is better then the new Dr. Pepper, it doesn't have that bad aftertaste you get in diet sodas, but then again it's not a diet soda so I guess that is to be expected. The lime and Pepsi actually mix together very well, its a nice blending of flavors. Not really sure how it compares to the Coke version since I have not yet tried it but it is pretty good.
One thing I liked about the bottle is the nutrition info label. Check it out:

How great is that? Not only do they put that worless 1 serving garbage that no one can ever adhere to (2.5 servings out of one bottle? Yeah right) but they also put on a whole bottle count. Pretty snazzy if you ask me.
Well I just finished the bottle. It was good stuff. Would I buy it again? Naa, but that is because I am not a cola fan. Would I buy it again if I was a cola fan? Yeah, sure thing. It's like Pepsi only with a twist of lime, and I think that makes it more gooder.
4 cheeses, me not being a cola fan and actually liking it says Pepsi did a good job. If you like Pepsi and don't mind lime give it a shot.
