October 21 2005 -- The Harvest

(My battery charger literally melted down last week so for a while all pictures will be taken with my cell phone.)

Lets kick things up a notch. Halloween is getting ever closer and the fever in the air is growing all the time. What kind of fever? Well, it seems that rage has taken a hold of us and we are now supposed to totally accept cannibalism. "What? Cannibalism?" you ask? Yes, cannibalism. It might not be straight out human flesh eating, but much like the other Halloween reviews we have done this is a way for us to accept such a ghoulish act and eventually feel like it is a normal part of society. How are they going to do this to us? Something as simple as a cookie.

There it is, folks, the pathway into flesh eating. Just look at it, sure, it might look innocent, but we readers of this website know the truth. Forget for a second that it is a cookie. Imagine it was actually the head of the misunderstood monster of Frankenstein. Look at the eyes. LOOK AT THEM! Do you see the fear and sadness there? The Monster knows what is about to happen to him. His flesh will be ripped from him. Sure, it might not be his flesh since it was stolen from other people and made into him, but still, it's all he has known and having that taken away from him might be a bit much.

Take a look at the coloring. Looks festive and cheerful, right? WRONG. Those colors are just there to trick us into thinking that it is okay to eat the flesh of another human(ish) being. The kiddies will gobble it up and be happy. Over time the companies will slowly change the colors to a more lifelike appearance. Soon we will be eating photo realistic cookies of humans and no one will think twice. It will seem so normal to us that we wont bat an eye.

It makes me sad to think about the way society is changing. Only a few years ago the thought of cannibalism being a regular part of society would have been punishable by death. Today we are only hours away from Soylent Green becoming a reality. Will anyone stop it? Of course not. The money to be made in the flesh harvest is too great for anyone to resist. The merchants of evil will continue us on our pathway to Hell and we wont even care.

Oh well.

3 cheeses for a generic holiday cookie. It looks pretty. Bought it at Shop Rite for a buck something.
