September 9 2005 -- School girls.
|
Man, what a week. It has been quite hectic, I have had no time to just sit around and relax, its been constant excitement and general busy-ness.
Monday: We know about that one already, it was Labor day.
Tuesday: Oh look, I ended up at a Yankees game. Man, you'd think a fancy person like myself would get star treatment when he goes to such an event, but no sir, I almost felt like a common person. Not only were are seats an almost unfathomable 7 rows behind home plate but we only had tickets for one of the private clubs in Yankee Stadium. I guess this is how most of the plebeians out there feel when they go to these kind of things. I would have expected to have been treated to private box seats and all access passes to the stadium but I guess I can look at this as a learning experience, a chance to feel what the common man feels, and for that I thank those kind enough to have given me these free passes. My transportation wasn’t paid for (what, no limo?) but I think we can overlook that one for now.
Wednesday: Cell phone debacle. My old cell phone was broken so I figured it was time to get a new one. BRU!, the cell phone champion friend of ours talked me into getting an LG 8100. It's a sexy phone. It has Bluetooth, MP3 player, mini SD card slot, 1.3 megapixel camera, very clear and bright screen, speaker phone.. it does everything you could ever want a phone to do, except for one small flaw.. THE STUPID THING CANT EVEN HANDLE A SIMPLE PHONE CALL!!!!! What the hell. When you talk on the thing the volume goes from very loud to very soft in a cycle, up and down, up and down, it's worthless. $200 and the stupid thing makes it a pain to talk to other people on it. Good thing Verizon gives you a 15 day return policy.
Thursday: The cell phone thing was digging at me. $200 for a phone that wont work as a phone. Instead of going to the gym at lunch time I went to the mall and got rid of the sorry excuse for a phone. Instead I went back to my good old Samsung A670. I spent the $53 and got it replaced with a new working one. Next came the fun..
...
Actually, lets talk about the new stuff I got instead, I don’t think talking about droves of Catholic high school girls in short skirts going up an escalator right outside the Starbucks I was sitting in is what people come here for.
No, I really don't think I should, I don't think anyone would want to hear about that. Instead I give you..

Starbucks' Green Tea Frappuccino.
So there I was, in a Starbucks at a mall waiting for my drink. Green Tea Frappuccino. How elite does that sound? I was like a full blown beatnik poet man. I was excited.
When the drink came it was cold, heavy and green. It looked nice but how did it taste? Surprisingly it tasted very good. If you have ever had green tea iced cream then you would recognize the flavor right away. If you haven’t had green tea iced cream then I recommend you go out and get some as a homework assignment. Being that I am quite fond of green tea iced cream I was quite fond of this Frappuccino. It would be a good dessert drink, unlike some of the other Starbucks drinks this one was not coffee-ish in the least (never mind Starbucks sells tea and just about everything else. Lets just pretend they just sell coffee). It feels like you are drinking a milkshake.
So that's that. The picture is blurry (I took it with my old phone, not the fancy new one I returned), this review is over, and in a few hours it's time to go to NYC for the Ron and Fez XM Welcome party at BB Kings.
4 cheeses.
