Sitting around on this lovely Black Friday I decided that it was a good time for a road trip for something completely worthless and since I have been hearing so much about this burger and its almost 1,500 calories of tasty goodness I decided it was time to go see and taste it for myself.

The nearest Hardee's is around 75 miles away so I was in for a long trip in order to get one burger. I loaded up the car with another dude and away we went. There really isnt much that far into PA. We did pass Roadside America, though. Anyone else been there as a kid? Countries largest miniture village.. I wonder what it has to compete with in order to hold that title.

Anyway, we get there and order our burger. Unlike your normal fast food joint this place brings the food out to your table. How classy! You order at a counter like a typical fast food joint but then they give you a little tag that you put on your table so they can find you when they bring out your meal.
Our burgers come out and we get excited. Unfortunately they forgot to put the bacon on them so we need to send them back. I am sure that along with the bacon they added a few extra special sauces on them to show their thanks for us sending the stuff back. Oh well, I am sure it just adds to the flavor.

While waiting for our burgers we sit around and enjoy our 44 ounce drinks. Much to our delight they were quite large and helped up consume more calories during our endeavor. I am sure at some point we will use these things to hold a 40 of malt liquor. Instead of drinking cheap booze out of a bottle in a brown paper bad we can now pretend that we are at least enjoying ourselves as we drink the cheap booze out of a large cup with a big smiling star on it.
At long last our burgers arrive. 2/3 pounds and 1,417.6 calories of happiness It's two burgers, 4 strips of bacon, a boat load of cheese, butter spread, and mayo all combined to a wonderful meal. Don't forget the large side of fries as well, another 605.2 calories of fun. I'd say another 1,000 calories for our total beverage consumption as well putting us at a grand total of 2752.8 calories for our dinner. How exciting! Now while that picture over there does not look all that appetizing they burger was actually very good. It felt heavy and did not taste like a greasy mess like many of the other fast food chains' burgers do. The bacon was decent, much better then that of the McDonalds breakfast sandwiches. The cheese was ok. There was a ton of it on there though, reminded me of the kind you would find on an Egg McMuffin. The fries were pretty decent as well. Nothing too special about them but nothing too bad about them either. After a while the burger started to taste like a sausage patty. Both Jason and I thought the same thing. We are not sure if it is supposed to taste like that or if our taste buds were just going numb after consuming so much beef, but it really wasn't much of a detriment to the product for me. Jason took the sausage taste a bit harder then I did but he finished his burger
up anyway.
Would I recommend this to other people? Heck yeah. It was quite a good burger and I would definitely have it again. Did it beat out my all time favorite of Jack in the Box? Not quite but it is much better then anything McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, or any of the other usual places offer at this time.
My ranking? 4 out of 5 cheeses.

Jason gives it 3.5 out of 4 and describes it as "our wet dream combined" Not really sure what he means by that but hey, sounds good to me.

If you have a chance go try it.
Until next time.. SEEYA!
