Welcome back from the long weekend. We here at TMW had a wonderful vacation down at archebaldo 's place and we have a fresh batch of reviews for you.
To start the new week off right I present a handful of new candy goodness to get your sweet tooths (or is that teeth?) chomping.
First up we have the Twizzlers Sourz (z for extra coolness factor with the kids). Coming in a pretty generic candy wrapper with its loud colors and assorted fruit flavorz we find inside pretty generic sour candy.
With multiple flavors you will be sure to find one you at least like a little bit. How does it taste? Well, much like everything else about this candy it's pretty generic tasting as well offering nothing above or beyond the already standard sour candy Sour Patch Kids. Actually, these are of a slightly lower quality then the Sour Patch Kids and really give you no reason to come back and buy them again unless you have a strong need for Sour Patch Kids but can't find them.
Rating? 2 out of 5. Generic candy in every way. Buy them if you want something sour but can't find the old standard.
Next up we have yet another sour candy product once again coming in a generic candy wrapper with it's own logo and having the candy itself look pretty generic as well. Jolly Rancher Screamers (no z so it's automatically less cool)
Taste? Well, see above. This one once again offers nothing new to anyone and actually tastes sweet instead of sour. A waste of time if you want sour candy. Once again I say stick with the Sour Patch Kids if you want sour.
1.5 out of 5 for these guys for not even being sour.
Next we have the Jolly Rancher Rocks. Instead of coming in your generic wrapper like the previous two candies we find these in a stylish hard plastic case making them much easier to carry around and store if you don't eat them all at once.
Inside we find pastel coloured candies, quite pleasing to the eye but small enough to be a chocking hazard to young children.
Popping them in your mouth one will find a much lighter flavor then the original Jolly Rancher candies, much easier on your mouth too, not blowing you away with too much flavor. The candies themselves don't last too long either and can easily be chewed up if one does so desire after a short period.
Compared to the other two this candy actually can stand on it's own in a crowd and at least makes you think it is trying something new.
3 out of 5. Buy it if you are in the mood to try a new hard candy.
Well, that's about it for now. See you next time when I whip out some more reviews for some more new candy.
