January 25 2005 -- Nutty new candy, part 1.

(It seems j0ph reviewed this stuff back in November. Oops. Go read his review here for a second opinion.)

Well, here we are again folks, and even though the roof of my mouth has been seriously wounded I just could not let that keep me away from writing up some new product reviews for you all. Today I present to you Reese's pieces with Nuts! Yup, you read that right, not only do you get that wonderful Reese's peanut butter inside each candy shell but you also get the extra added bonus of a real life peanut in every bite!

As you can see the color scheme present on the package is the same as with most every other Reese's brand product, conjuring up images in the mind of happy peanut butter flavor and perhaps even a child hood memory of the movie ET and Reese's featured role in that movie.

Anywho, opening up the package and pouring some out the first thing you will notice is the size.

No longer content to be the tiny peanut butter candies of days past Reese's has grown these guys to about triple their previous size and crammed them full with a peanut.

I was very surprised at how well the inside peanut blended with the candy shell and peanut butter flavors. There isn't a big jump going from one part of the candy to the other, everything seems to just melt nicely in your mouth, not in your hand (take that M&Ms!)

How do they taste? Well, do you like the way Reese's tasted in the past? If so then you will most likely like these. Do you like Peanut M&Ms more then regular M&Ms? If so then once again this is a candy for you. Are you allergic to nuts? If so then I suggest staying away unless you feel like having a good laugh.

Rating? I'll give these guys 4 out of 5. An already awesome candy has been given a face life. I wouldn't say these could be a replacement for normal Reese's pieces but if you have a hankering for some of them but want a little more filling of a snack then take these over the originals.

(This review has been edited! I thought there was chocolate in these things but I guess I was wrong. Danke Alex for pointing that out. Ooops.)
