Week of September 12, 2004

September 18 2004 -- American Cars

Well, yet another problem has emerged with my car.. rust.  Yup, my almost brand new car of little more then a year is rusting and GM blames it on me.  How great is that?  On the roof of the car there are a few spots where the paint has disappeared, the finish under the paint has gone away, and rust has started to form.  I took it into the shop to have them look at it and all they would say is "Maybe a bird did it.  Or some tree sap."  Gee wiz, I am so glad I bought a car that isn't able to withstand birds and tree sap.  Oh well.  Screw GM.  I no longer wonder why American car companies are failing. So far I have had a messed up seat, bad breaks, paint falling off the stearing wheel buttons, and now rust forming on the roof. Throw in the two times my car has been hit by other people and the one time a large scratch showed up going down the side of it and you have one big pile of bad luck.  After this I am not going to buy one of their products again.  Maybe I'll be like Ryan and buy 100% Japanese.

Well, Cirque du Soleil is at it again announcing a new show today,
KĄ, and let me tell you, I am more then excited.  Being that I am going to Vegas in a few months and that this show is going to be a resident of the MGM Grand I am going to need to see this show while I am out there.  Since the announcement of the show just went out today I don't really know much about it, but with Cirque's track record (read: amazing) this show has got to be good as well.



Anyone else into Cirque Du Soleil?  I've seen almost all of their shows and every one of them is spectacular in it's own way. Go talk about it!

September 16 2004 -- Ryan's Life of Pain - Part One

I would like to introduce a little segment entitled Ryan's Life of Pain.  In this segment we here at TMW will showcase Ryan's life and the pain and suqalor he lives in.  So, I proudly present to you Part 1 of Ryan's Life of Pain written by Ryan himself!


to summarize my day yestereday, i'd have to say that i was sick as all hell, felt miserable, managed to work until 6pm, went home and wanted nothing to do but go straight to bed.


of course its the one day there is NO available parking on my street. none. nowhere. so i parked with my rear tires a few inches into a crosswalk that no one's ever used before. i thought, no jackass fucking cop would ever give me a ticket for that.



and i was right! i got TWO GODDAMN tickets for it! one from a jackass fucking cop last night, and
another from a jackass meterfucker this morning. beautiful eh? best part: $51 and $54 violations. so i figure that there can't be two different amounts for the same statute offense, so one of them is a misrepresentation and therefore invalid. however, i don't really feel like going to two court dates to find out which one is wrong. i'm going to have to ask someone here about this because $105 is ridiculous and i HATE JERSEY CITY!!!

September 16 2004 -- Welcome Back! Well lets see.. I registered a domain and figured it is about time this page came back. It's been about 2 years now since it was last up and running and even if it is just to give Beattie something to read I figure I will put it back up for everyone to look at. I think this page will contain reviews of vodka, comments on Avi's head, Ryan's life of Pain stories, how much Beattie sucks at spending money, and other various garbage that no one outside of the people being mentioned on the page will ever care about. We'll see how long I keep this up before I get bored.
