December 4 2004 -- Sugar Bowl!
Sugar Bowl time, baby! Since my school didn't even make it out of last place in the Big East I might as well root for jophypants' school, Virginia Tech.

And what better way to celebrate then to burn stuff?

Go see the rest of the pictures and movies here.

December 4 2004 -- Immortel

Well I just got done watching immortel (ad vitam) and I am not really sure what to say about it. Filmed almost completely on a blue screen (like Sky Captian and Casshern) and mixing live actors with CG ones it was quite a nice movie to look at.
And that's where the good parts end. Plot? Well, it seems as though an Egyptian pyramid has appeared over NYC in the year 2095 (which is also populated by aliens for some reason). The god Horus has been given a death sentence by the other Egyptian gods and has 7 days to experience Earth before he is eliminated. At the same time some weird blue alien girl has also appears and seems to have a strange connection with the god. Horus takes over the body of a human in order to interact with the blue haired girl and the movie goes on from there. Central Park is also closed off for some reason as well and anyone who tries to enter it is killed. Nothing is really explained at all and you will find yourself asking "Huh?" quite a few times.
This isn't much of a movie I would recommend watching for plot. I'd say check it out just to see how it looks. I am not sure why the movie was made the way it was but at least it was original. At times the scenes are done with live actors, at others everything, including the characters in the film, is done via computer graphics. The mixing of styles is noticeable and might catch you off guard if you are not expecting it. The quality of the CG isn't even on the same level as some videogame cutscenes in things like Final Fantasy but it still is nice to look at. The movie itself is a tad slow but along with the graphics the music in the movie is well done, especially during the credits. It kept my interest the whole way through but I wouldn't go
by that at all considering the sort of taste I have in movies.
Should you see this movie? Well, if you want a good straightforward well paced movie, no. If you want to see a very pretty tech demo, then sure, go see it. Apparently this is also part of some movie series as well but I doubt any of us have ever heard of any of them. Go read more at IMDB if you like.
I still say Casshern is better.

December 2 2004 -- Spidered!
Looks like TMW is moving up in the world:

Seems like MSN is doing a little spidering of the website! I guess we will all need to search for us on TMW in the next few days to see if it accepted what Mr. MSN Bot found!

November 29 2004 -- Wanda and the Colossus
Ah, hmm, how about a quick one today?
Anyone out there ever play Ico for the PS2? No? Well stop being a jerk and go buy it, only $15 bucks. But that's not the point of today's addition to The Whore. The next game by the team who made Ico is coming out shortly and a trailer
is up online for it. Wanda and the Colossus.
Go watch the trailer, then go buy a PS2, Ico, and then wait for this game after beating Ico.
Here are some pretty pictures if anyone is interested and a music thing from the official site.
All right, that's it for today. Go play. I could have posted a bunch of pictures but I am lazy. Just go click the picture link instead.
