This review is a dire warning, a plea to stay away from the product in question. You don’t want to get near it, you don’t want to try it, you want to keep your distance in fear of addiction or overdose. You don’t want to buy it because then you’ll try it and think to yourself “Hey, this is really good, why not?”. You’ll enjoy the feeling. You’ll enjoy the high. You’ll replace other products in your medicine cabinet with it.
But hey, if you do want to give it a shot here is a $2 coupon. Hey, if I couldn’t stop you I might as well help enable you, it’s only right.

Vanilla Tylenol PM Liquid, or is it Liquid Vanilla Tylenol PM, or maybe Tylenol PM Vanilla Liquid? It’s one of them and by me doing that I will be sure to get more results from Google when people search for Tylenol PM Vanilla Liquid review. It’s all about the hits.
So, this product, it’s aimed as a Nyquil competitor. Will they be able to beat out the big Q? Will people jump ship from the old standard of green or red liquid over the counter sleep drug? I sure hope so because this stuff is amazing.
For a moment lets talk about Nyquil. We all secretly love it, admit it. Everyone loves the way it knocks you out, everyone loves the way it gives you a good night sleep, and for some of us out there, everyone loves the way it blows your mind and takes you to a happy place. Try it some time, just take a shot or two and don’t let yourself fall asleep right away. What fun.
But the problem with Nyquil is that flavor. When you take it you know you are taking a drug. It’s not a very good experience. Both flavors, red and green, are the same. They both give you that scrunched up face, they both leave that thick coating down to your stomach, and they both leave that horrible aftertaste in your mouth. If you wanted the joy Nyquil was going to give you then you had to earn it.
But that was the old days. Now it’s 2005. It’s a whole new game now.
The dark ages of Nyquil you’d look like this:

But now with Tylenol PM Vanilla Liquid this can be you:

So ask yourself. Do you want to be a muscle bound sex symbol that every woman in the world would like a piece of, or, do you want to be a poet?
I went out to the store and picked myself up a bottle of this stuff as soon as I heard about it (plus a few days due to me not wanting to be knocked out when I had other things to do). There it was in my local Target, almost sold out. I snatched up a bottle, gave the cashier my coupon, and headed home to my place to try it out.
I was nervous at first to take a shot. It smelled wonderful, like sweet vanilla, but that can be deceiving. Taste is the true test. Would it taste as good as the smell or would it be a horrible medicine like Nyquil? Well, I took the shot… and it was amazing. No medicine taste, no aftertaste, no thick coating. It was a pleasant experience of a very nice vanilla syrup flavor. Tylenol PM Vanilla Liquid has set a new bar for medicine taste. I couldn’t resist, so I took another. After about a half hour of sitting at my computer thinking about the experience I went back and took another half shot.
I knew things were getting bad.
It was so good I kept wanting more. My choices were either totally overdose and end up in not too good of a condition, or dump this liquid crack out and save myself. Sadly, I chose second option. I dumped out almost the entire bottle down the drain and threw the empty bottle in the trash. It’s not safe to have around. Having something this good around the condo would sure to be tempting. I can just imagine myself coming home from work tired, knowing I want a good night’s sleep and just taking a shot as a night cap, night after night after night.
Well the bottle was in the garbage and I settled myself to watch some anime. It was wonderful. A few hours later I was in that familiar Nyquil high/almost falling asleep phase of life. A little while later I was out and speeding towards the next morning.
I will never want to take Nyquil again. This stuff is amazing and should replace Nyquil in everyone’s medicine cabinet. Tylenol PM Vanilla Liquid is the new standard in knock yourself out with over the counter goodness.
I present to you the 5 cheese grail. Go try it. You won’t regret it, unless you overdose and kill yourself, but then with that you’ll be dead and wont really be able to regret it much. Tylenol PM Vanilla Liquid. Learn it. Love it. Live it.
SEEYA!

Re: Tylenol PM Tablets
This drug should be pulled! It is DANGEROUS.
How dangerous? Does taking someone to the ER sound dangerous? Does two days in the ICU sound dangerous? It’s that bad.
This so called “gentle” sleeping drug makes people who have no problem with ordinary Tylenol become DELERIOUS to the point of remembering the first dose but then having no conception of what happens afterwards.
A person could take several doses within minutes of each other, having no recollection they took the first one. Chances of overdosing with this drug because of lack of coherence is high.
I am speaking from 1st hand experience. I almost lost someone to this drug. I have heard other incidents now, through the grapevine, that other people have also had SEVERE reactions.
At minimum, it could cause an average person to sleep for an entire day.
If you have it – THROW IT OUT.
If you are considering taking it – DON’T.
This is NOT the safe drug they claim it is.

Funny thing, I reacted the same way. I think I downed the whole bottle in three days. It was just too good, I kept going back for more.
I will not allow myself to purchase another bottle because next thing you know I’ll be making vanila tylenol cokes with it.

I agree with some of the other comments concerning the Tylenol PM tablets – they are way too dangerous to be out there! I love Tylenol for my occasional aches so I thought Tylenol PM would be the logical choice for pain/sleep aid. WRONG. I became delerious after one and a half doses, and then it seemed like the drug was telling me to take more. I ended up ravaging through my house, cleaning, at 4:40am in the morning and the next day i was hearing things that weren’t really there – quite frightening. I even called 911 because I thought i heard people inside my house! And believe me, I am no lightweight with medicine. My best advice – Tylenol, in its recommended doses, for any pains. For sleeping, I’m sticking to Melatonin for now. The Tylenol PM almost got the best of me, and i will NEVER take that product again.

Mr. J.
I found this review when I did a google search for tylenol pm overdose.
A long time friend sits, rather lies, in a hospital ICU bed tonight from a tylenol pm overdose. All of her family is flying into town because the doctors don’t know if she will make it.
Please don’t mess with your life by taking more than the recommended dosage of these medicines. It really could cost you your life.

I love how it says “Non-habit forming” right on the bottle. What complete BS! ANY drug, hell any thing you put in your body (i.e junk food) can be habit forming. Speaking as an addict of Tylenol PM and as someone whose ex bf had a mild addiction to painkillers. Yes, addictions vary in their powers, I am not saying TPM is as bad as coke or meth, but it still is bad enough!ODing leads to restlessness, mild hallucinations, drowsiness, dizziness, and irregular heartbeat! Does that sound bad to you, because it does to me!

Like Mr. J (#9 above), I too found this website while searching “tylenol overdose.”
A friend of mine is currently lying in ICU in a coma & on life support because of what is believed to be an unintentional Tylenol PM overdose. He took himself to the ER on Friday because he felt bad and was jaundice. By Sunday night he became unresponsive & had to be placed on a respirator. His liver & kidneys were in complete failure and on Monday his brain began swelling at a massive rate, which, in turn, caused disseminated intravascular coagulation (his eyes were bleeding). On Tuesday night, he slipped into a coma and the doctors have said “he’s gone.” Today the family has made the difficult but merciful decision to “pull the plug” on his life support, which will be done tomorrow.
What makes this story even sadder is that my friend is a paramedic nremt-lp. You wouldn’t think that something like this could happen to someone with his medical knowledge, but easily enough, it did.
I implore all who read this….don’t screw around with this stuff. Take Tylenol when needed and at the recommended doses and most importantly…READ THE LABEL!!!! Your life is worth so much more than a cheap high off of an OTC medication.

Stay away from Tylenol PM!!!!!!!! My nephew is now DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The responses here seem to be a classic example of placebo effect, or even the power of suggestion. Both active ingredients in Tylenol PM have been in use for half a century or more. It’s just a combination of Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Diphenhydramine being the drug that causes the drowsiness (as well as most of the side effects).
Just like any other drug, over the counter or otherwise; follow the directions, check the precautions and make sure you’re not having a reaction to it.
I would suspect anyone who overdoses on Tylenol PM can be grouped into either an intentional overdose or someone who didn’t read the directions. Either of which makes a strong case for Darwinism.

i also found this looking for tylenol o.d. I have first had experience with this drug. I took about 50 of them last year and spent ten days in icu. Dont remember those days, just rememeber that I was lucky, that i came out with no injuries not even to my liver when i should have been dead. tylenol p.m. not a smart choice.if you wanna get high and stay high for like a day, do nutmeg and orange juice, just dont mix them together.

I agree that Tylenol PM is dangerous and addictive. I’ve never used the liquid, but have used the pills. I initially bought the product because I had a mild toothache. I was gonna just buy the regular tylenol but I saw the PM version so I thought “why not, It’ll help me sleep and ease the pain”. Well I really liked how it helped me sleep after the first time i used it, so I started using the pills whenever I had trouble falling asleep.
After about 2 weeks, I think I became addicted. However I got a scary wake up call that broke my addiction, I took 2 of the pills one night instead of the 1 i was used to and I wound up waking up to my heart racing and I was covered in sweat.
After a few hours I felt ok, but after that I threw out the tylenol pm and will NEVER use it again.

WTF- someone took 50 tylenol pm and ended up in the hospital.. What a suprise! That’s what happens when you take 50 of pretty much anything instead of following the instructions.
If you do, You are the danger to yourself, not to tylenol pm. ;)
Sorry to sound so harsh, but come on-
Don’t blame your attempt to get high gone wrong on the tylenal pm, k?
The sleeping aid in this medication is same exact thing in Benedryl people.

Well if people are responsible it should not be a problem. I take PM tablets every night, 2 to be exact, no more no less in a 24 hour period and im perfectly fine. The product should not be pulled due to the fact that there are complete morons who want to abuse it with the ease it is to get it. Be responsible, say like “myself”, and take recommended dosages and nothing will go wrong.

I have been taking Tylenol PM for years. If I didn’t take it I would be up all night. I would lay in bed and couldn’t sleep for nothing all night long. I stop taking it after I found out I was pregnant. I stopped until about 5 months ago when my baby was a month old and I started having a hard time sleeping so I picked up a bottle at the store and it did not take 2 days and I was addicted again. I usually take 10 pills when I get home from work at 6:30 or 7 everynight. By 10 o’clock I take between 6 & 8 more. If I wake up in the middle of the night (which usually is at 1, 3 and 5) I will take 4 or 5 more each time I wake up. Since the first of January I have taken 4 of the 500 count bottles of the generic Tylenol and probably 3 or 4 of the 25-50 count bottles. On the weekends or if I am home during the day I take them all day long. I know this is not good on my liver and I am really concerned about this but I am really addicted to this stuff. I have had problems with illegal drugs in my past (meth, crack, coke, Oxicotin — you name it and I have done it!!) This is not something I am proud of but I kicked those habits on my own. I have not used in over 2 years but for some reason I can’t stop these. If I take 4 or 5 of these at night when I get home I never feel them this is why I keep taking so many. I want to stop but I don’t want the insomnia that comes along with not takeing it. Does anyone think that the prescription sleep aides are worth looking into. What should I do??????????????
March 16, 2008 at 5:35 pm
sensible
You morons, sorry but if you can’t read the bottle and control yourself you should really check yourself into a mental hospital or some place they can help your addicted TPM ass. Lot’s of people take TPM if they can’t sleep. But that doesnt mean they take it EVERY DAY 20 TIMES A DAY. give me a break, they shouldnt take it off the counter for a few abusers who will only find some other way to get their fix. you think i’m being mean, so what? It’s a reality check.

Nikki, you need to understand that you’re addicted to diphenhydramine, NOT “Tylenol PM”. If ANYTHING, PLEASE do NOT keep taking large amounts of acetaminophen, which is in all these doses you keep taking. If you need to take something to get your active mind and body to bed, just pop a “Sleep Aid” (straight diphenhydramine) with no acetaminophen. Be careful with acetaminophen – look up the side effects.. you’ll see that it is linked to organ failure and many other problems. Just because the label says “PM” doesn’t mean that it’s primarily for helping you sleep. Look at that “other” ingredient and expect the greater evil when you take so much. I’m worried that Nikki will inevitably die from her addiction to diphenhydramine, but not from that compound, but from acetaminophen.

Sometimes I take 6 TPMs and feel awesome an hour later, and im still here and no health problems. So how the f*** do people end up in the hospital and shit? I clould understand a dextromethorphan overdose but tylenol? Come on.

i am on-line looking to help a friend who is addicted to Tylenol pm. he takes up to 15 pills at night every night and if he doesn’t he gets anxiety, sweats, chills, nausea. he called me yesterday because he had planned on committing suicide today. he is struggling with the addiction and feels overwhelmed by the lack of “control” he has over the addiction. for those who given their experience and concerns, thank you.
for those who feel they are in control, for those who say Tylenol pm is not addicting, for those who feel like taking a dose today that does not land you in the hospital tonight think that that means taking the same dose tomorrow excludes them from a disaster happening, YOU ARE SO WRONG. you are the prime example of what is called denial. if you say you take this medication every night for over two weeks, it doesnt matter how many you take whether its one every night or 20, you’re addicted. if you still say you’re not, ii challenge you to stop for three days without feeling the need to take them and then you can correct me.

you all should seek medical help…. sitting here contemplating if this stuff is “dangerous”… ? it’s not the stuff that’s the problem( not that i believe in sleeping medication, cause i don’t) but you all need to WAKE UP maybe just for a day?!?!? to realize you are junkies….. taking pills to sleep EVERY DAY?!?! is already ridiculous, but then taking these huge amounts then sitting in front of your computer half comatose “debating” if you are gonna die if your heart is palpitating and you are hearing noises….COME ON!!!!!…… i compare you to those old alcoholics… the real hardcore ones who get drunk off cough medicine and nail polish remover, cause they can’t afford the real stuff….!!!!or is that what you all use to swallow the pill with?….look in the mirror!… and for those of you who are trying to make excuses that they REALLY CAN’T SLEEP WITHOUT THEM….DAHHHH…. that’s just it once you start taking these things to go to sleep you can’t go to sleep without them… especially when you are taking it for “YEARS”?????? the underlaying problem of why you can’t sleep in the first place is still there except for the longer you take them the more your body gets immune AND addicted to it and eventually you will need more and more for them to work never mind to get you high!….. i cant even believe this… i stumbled upon this site by mistake… so i am in disbelief at what i just read!!! wish you all luck on deciphering the correct dosage for a high without getting addicted ….. and good luck on that number being the same the next day. have you ever squared the number 2 infinitely? 2 to 4 isn’t a big leap i wonder if heart and liver failure starts at 16 or 256?

i understand that insomnia sucks but if i had to measure it on a step ladder i would fall to my death trying to step down to that stoop from BEING ADDICTED TO DRUGS….i bet if you don’t sleep for 3 days you will be tiered enough the 4th!!! and even if you are a wreck from lack of sleep you are still better off then what you are doing now! i commend you on not taking the hardcore drugs that you used to but you have to realize that you have not actually kicked your habit of drug addiction… just the logic of stepping to prescription drugs… is the complete wrong direction….. you should seek help to stop your addiction ” to being addicted” before your pm habit leads you back to crack…. prescription drugs are one step closer TO THAT ….STOPPING TODAY and going through the rough patch of your body getting used to sleeping and just functioning without anything in your system and kick your addiction once and for all… if you stopped doing crack and meth on your own you MORE than have enough will power to stop taking pm but if NOT seek medical help for that as you are sitting there waiting for your perscription!…GOOD LUCK!

bet you have no idea, what its like to be awake for days even weeks at a time..after 72 hours, you get a new sense of reality, heightend senses, its almost like being paranoid on pot…I think this tylenol pm liquid is the answer I’ve been searching for, since xanax does nothing, and the tylenol pm gel caps are like throat lozengers.

I was put on Benicar by an ethical DR. when my BP is around 140/90. Instead of asking me trying quit smoking, eat healthy foods, excercise…The dumd ass DR. ” this is new med and no side effects”…I was without sleep, I mean not one minute for 2 weeks while working 12 hours a day, 5 1/2 days a week. Finally, I threw these pills away and trying to change my life style to keep my BP down. Anyway, the anxiety, the withdrawl or whatever from this Benicar poision keeps me alert all the time with no sleep. I turned to Melatonin, it worked the firt couple nights then quited on me. I tried Benardryl but the Benshit made my heart pounding and out of whack rythm. I tried Tylenol pm even though I know it has the same ingredient from Benshit but the Tylenol Pm does not affects my heart rythm that much as with the Benshit. Yes, I have very seldom had any insomia before but with the Tylenol pm, I can get 2 to 4 hours of rest . Not much but it is better than going for almost amonth with no sleep at all. I tried L-theanie but this shit only good for calm effects, no sleep there. God please help me! I should never took the Benicar shit. I rather die from heart attack or a stroke which is a long shot at my slightly elevated HP. PS: the damned DR’s medi-clinic is in HOUSTON, TX on Richmond blvd. Stay away form the dumd ass.

I have been taking Tylenol PM for over 6 years now. I take two pills every night. If I don’t take it, I cannot sleep at night. I lost a child many years ago and used to take Benadryl, but the recommended dosage didn’t help me sleep anymore. Not sure why though considering Tylenol PM has the same ingredient as benadryl in it plus the pain relief benefit. I can’t seem to stop taking it. I wish I could just go back to drinking a glass of warm milk at night like I used to do. Any suggestions?
August 5, 2009 at 12:15 pm
IT doesnt MATTER
ya. i got a suggestion, try not sleeping for 3 days, then your body crashes and you learn how to sleep again. Im a drug addict, specifically percocets and opiates. after 3 days of working the drugs through your system your level of the main ingredient should be depleted enough for you to take melitonin which is a vitamin of sorts that handles a different receptor then drugs.. But at the same time you should go to your fuckin doctor and get some ambien or some kind of sleep aid. Insomnia is a medical condition. and so is drug addiction.
but after a while, youl go to sleep. its what your body was designed to do!

non-habit forming my ass. its got VANILLA in it for gods sake, of course its habit forming! That stuffs worse than crack. Now were do i get it again?

Tylenol PM in vanilla liquid form is effective, this is why it can be habit forming to some folks. If you can’t exercise self control in other areas of your life, or if you have mental baggage that keeps you from sleeping – you won’t be able to exercise self control with Tylenol PM in vanilla liquid form.
Seeing the responses on this page, firmly reinforces my belief that I am completely normal and that I have very few problems compared to some of the people who’ve written these posts.
You people are seriously whacked and need professional help.

I think that you all are crazy and need medical/mental advice.
I am a nurse. I take TPM on a rare occasion when my arthritis kicks in too
bad and I’ve had a bad day in the oncology ward at work.
I also take Tylenol extra strength for headache or colds? Almost every
hospital I work/worked in give tylenol.
IT IS THE PERSON OR PERSONS ABOVE WRITING THIS GARBAGE TO TRY TO
MAKE NORMAL PEOPLE BELIEVE TPM’S ARE NO GOOD.
Get a life druggies. If ya got a bit of pain take a tyl. if ya got to get some
shut eye take a tpm,,,,,,,,,,use your heads all of you. My cousin took 5 by mistake and his wife took him to the ER come on???Get the hell outside walk, drink coffee, jump and dance whatever take a walk in the cold air, but don’t waste peoples time in the ER where we work because you want more strong stuff? Don’t work with our Doc’s, ya see we can spot you
coming a mile away.
